Summary

Me in a Tree at Shedd Park

I am an MSc student in Operational Research at the University of Edinburgh. My research interests lie broadly in applications of OR to topics relating to social good. More specifically, I am interested in applications in public infrastructure, energy and sustainability, transit, education, and other areas that can generally be described as benefitting society. My OR interests lie primarily in the topics of fairness and optimization, specifically combinatorial, integer, and stochastic optimization.

Education

I went to high school at Saint Mark's School in Southborough, Massachusetts, where I was a member of the Varsity Cross Country and Crew teams for four years, including a year as captain of the Cross Country team, and a member of the Choir. I got my B.S. in Industrial Engineering at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute while being involved in the club Cycling team and the university's chapter of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers. I am currently working on my MSc in Operational Research at the University of Edinburgh, where I am doing my dissertation on pairing carers for home healthcare routing and scheduling.

Work Experience

I did a co-op with Saint Luke's University Health Network in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania from January through June 2025. My role within the Management Engineering department was to begin work on a whole-hospital simulation model of the network's primary campus in Bethlehem, PA. The objective was to better understand the current state of inpatient flow through the hospital and have the ability to test future scenarios where departments are relocated to a nearby campus which, at the time, was undergoing an expansion.

Other Interests

I am quite interested in cycling, both in the participatory and spectatory senses. I am also interested in a lot of other sports, including endurance sports, motorsports, and baseball. I'm a bit far down the rabbit hole when it comes to specialty coffee and Pokémon. I also enjoy baking and hiking, though I get around to them less often than I would prefer.
